An aspiring actor undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance, but his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare.
The Footcandle Film Society will be screening the film A DIFFERENT MAN at the Carolina Theater in Downtown Hickory on Wednesday, January 8th and Thursday, January 9th, 7:00pm each night.
This film screening is free to all Footcandle Film Society members; additional tickets will be sold at the box office for $5.00 each.
Please note: This film is Rated R for sexual content, graphic nudity, language and some violent content. Some elements of the film, including references to suicide and a graphically explicit scene of body horror, may be disturbing for audiences. Running time is 1 hour 52 minutes.
About the film: Aspiring actor Edward undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance. But his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare, as he loses out on the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with reclaiming what was lost. A Different Man is a 2024 dark comedy and psychological thriller written and directed by Aaron Schimberg starring Sebastian Stan, Renate Reinsve, and Adam Pearson. Stan was nominated for the Best Performance by a Male Actor – Musical or Comedy category at this year's Golden Globes Awards.
