About this Event
Curious about film photography? Whether it’s your very first roll or you’ve dabbled once or twice, this hands-on workshop is designed to help you build confidence with film cameras and get real results.
Over one engaging day, you’ll:
- Learn to load and unload 35mm film without the stress
- Understand exposure basics — ISO, shutter speed & aperture explained in plain English
- Pick up simple composition tips to make your photos stronger
- Head out on a relaxed photowalk through Sydney Park to shoot your roll
- Return to the lab to see your negatives developed, scanned and printed the very same day
No camera? No problem. We’ll provide an easy-to-use point-and-shoot film camera for anyone who needs one.
🎟 Your ticket includes: one roll of colour 35mm film, same-day development, high-resolution scans, 6×4” prints of your images, and a $20 lab credit for your next order.
👥 With small group sizes, you’ll get personal help and encouragement from friendly, experienced film photographers and lab techncians in a supportive, beginner-focused environment.
By the end of the day, you’ll not only walk away with your own film photos in hand but also the confidence to keep shooting.
Please note: This workshop involves walking and standing for extended periods during the photowalk portion, and Sydney Park includes some stairs and inclines. If you have any mobility concerns or require specific accommodations, please contact us before booking so we can discuss how we might be able to assist.
