About this Event
The Tibetan & Himalayan Cultural Festival in Longmont brings together food, film, photography, and dance.
Join us on Saturday, September 20th at the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center for a special screening of the Bhutanese film Honey Giver Among the Dogs (Monmo Tashi Kyidren), directed by Dechen Roder. Doors open at 2pm, and there will be light refreshments, chai and momos (dumplings), before the film begins and time for Q&A after the film with Professors Padma ‘tsho (Southwest Minzu University) and Holly Gayley (CU Boulder). Film starts at 2:15pm. There is a special photo and woodcut exhibit to enjoy in conjunction with the film, and the chance to try out Tibetan circle dance led by CU students to conclude the festival.
