Join us for an evening of filmmaking, networking, and community as we officially launch the Texas Horror Cult – Film Competition!

Whether you’re a filmmaker, actor, writer, cinematographer, makeup artist, or someone looking to get involved in a film production, this is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow creatives, build your team, and kick off six weeks of filmmaking madness.

During the event we’ll reveal important competition details, answer questions, introduce participating teams, and officially start the countdown to production. If you’re still looking for cast or crew, this is your chance to connect with talented people from across the Dallas–Fort Worth film community.

What to Expect:

• Meet filmmakers, actors, and crew members
• Network with the local horror film community
• Find teammates for the competition
• Competition announcements and Q&A
• Food, drinks, and great conversations

Competition Challenge:Teams will have 6 weeks to write, shoot, and edit an original 5–7 minute horror short film inspired by the competition theme. The completed films will premiere at the Texas Horror Cult Film Festival, where they’ll compete for awards, prizes, and audience recognition.

Whether you’re competing or simply want to meet other filmmakers, everyone is welcome.
