Ready to see your short film on the 2026 Kenora District Festival of the Arts festival movie screen? In this 3-hour hands-on online workshop, you’ll create a simple video that is ready for submission to the festival. Led by Bevan Klassen, independent filmmaker and art therapist, this beginner-friendly experience will guide you step-by-step to:- Develop a simple story
- Use professional, royalty-free video footage and music
- Edit your short film using an easy online platform
- Export and prepare it for festival submission
No experience required. All tools provided.

Simple Bio:
Bevan Klassen is a long-time independent filmmaker from Winnipeg whose films have screened at festivals around the world. In 2021, he founded Deep Focus Art Therapy, to support adults, youth, and children in their challenges using video-making and other art mediums.
Open to all adults. Registration fee is $20 or free with proof of registration for the Kenora District Festival of the Arts “Video and Film Arts” class. Contact the Arts Hub for support to register.
