Film Installation: To See You, I Must Listen
About this Event
To See You, I Must Listen (2026, 20’ loop) is a new four-screen film work by filmmaker and researcher Shelby Prichard that submerges the viewer in the sensory conditions of the ocean, a place where vision falters and sound creates worlds. Through haptic and opaque underwater images and an immersive soundscape composed from underwater field recordings and designed in collaboration with sound artist Tom Fisher / Action Pyramid, the work draws attention to the limits of human perception and knowledge and invites attentiveness toward other, more watery ways of being.
The filmmaker will be in attendance for informal conversations.
