A message from the event's organizer::
"Hi, my name is Will. I am an 8th grader at Nyack Middle School, and I have participated in the Proyecto Faro's MLK community service project for the past few years. Martin Luther King inspires us to serve others, and this year I’m organizing a drive to fill local food pantry refrigerators with fresh and healthy items. Martin Luther King Day is a perfect day to do a mitzvah!
Many families in our community rely on food pantries, but fresh foods like milk, eggs, and fruits and vegetables are often in short supply. Will you please help us stock the community refrigerators with healthy fresh foods? This will help feed our food insecure neighbors.
You can help in a few different ways.
-You can help by donating food or by donating money to purchase food.
-You can donate your time to help drive the food to one of the refrigerators and clean and restock it.
Please see the flyer for more information.
Thanks for your help to make this a successful project!"
Please mark your calendar to drop off fresh food donations at the designated date/time. If you’d like to volunteer as a food sorter/driver/fridge stocker please email Will via the CSI office: [email protected]
