Chef Mapi De Veyra will guide you through the vibrant flavors of his home country, The Philippines. We’ll explore the multi-layered cuisine that is full of influence from the Spanish, Chinese and Malay. You’ll learn how to make Filipino staples like lumpia and adobo and we’ll discuss where to buy important Pinoy ingredients like banana ketchup and calamansi, soy sauce, shrimp paste and vinegar.

Menu*
-Pancit Canton: Filipino stir fried noodles with chicken, sausage and vegetables. A party staple in the Phillipines!
-Lumpia Shanghai: The Filipino cousin to spring rolls. A pork and vegetable filling wrapped up tight and then fried until the skin is super crunchy. We'll make a sweet and sour sauce for dipping.
-Chicken Adobo: The national dish of the Philippines. Bone-in chicken pieces are braised in vinegar, soy sauce and aromatics to create a sweet, sour and salty sauce. Traditionally served over rice.
