Filipino American History Celebration

Join us for a special celebration of Filipino American history, culture, and community at the Southside Senior Community Center!
More than a cultural celebration, this event is also a fundraiser for Spokane United We Stand’s Building Fund, supporting our vision to preserve and honor the spirit and legacy of Spokane’s historic International District—once known as Chinatown and Trent Alley—which was razed to make way for Expo ’74.
Through this effort, we hope to create a lasting community space that honors the people, cultures, businesses, and stories that once shaped this important part of Spokane—a history that, for far too long, has been buried, overlooked, and nearly erased from our community’s collective memory.
Enjoy an afternoon filled with Filipino, Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and fusion cuisine, cultural performances, music, and community celebrations, bringing together Spokane’s vibrant Filipino, Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (ANHPI) communities, along with friends, families, and neighbors from throughout the region and helps sustain the community programs and cultural celebrations we provide throughout the year,
including:
🧧 Spokane’s Lunar New Year
🌺 Spokane’s Asian Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Festival
By celebrating together, we are also helping build a stronger future for our community—preserving our history, sharing our cultures, and creating a permanent home where our communities can gather, connect, and thrive.
More Information Coming Soon!
