Join us for the opening of BETWEEN US, an exhibition that brings together an extraordinary group of artists exploring identity, connection and the spaces we share. This show is about people. It is about presence, vulnerability and the way we see each other.
Come early, take your time with the work, and stay for a powerful conversation.
At 3pm, Amanda Billing hosts a live Artist Panel with Clark Roworth, Jenni Stringleman and Katie Blundell. This is a rare chance to hear artists speak honestly about their work, their process and what drives them. The panel will run for around 30 minutes followed by audience questions.
If you have ever wanted to understand what sits behind the surface of a painting, this is your moment.
About the exhibition:
BETWEEN US is a collective exhibition featuring contemporary artists working across figurative painting and portraiture. Guest co-curated by Karlalise Horstmans and Tracey Coakley, it brings together a wide range of practices reflecting the richness of identity and lived experience in Aotearoa New Zealand.
These works hold stories. They hold memory. They ask us to look closer.
Through this collection, BETWEEN US reveals the many voices shaping contemporary figurative art today, inviting audiences into personal narratives, shared histories and the complexity of being human together.
