About this Event
Ready to step into the shield wall? This course is your gateway into the thrilling world of Viking re-enactment. Whether you’re curious about living history, passionate about Norse culture, or just eager to try something new, this hands-on training will teach you the foundations of re-eanctment combat in a safe and supportive environment. No experience or equipment needed – just bring your enthusiasm and a taste for adventure!
This registers the participant for 4 combat sessions:

And includes our 'Bring a Bake' Session on Wednesday 2nd September 19:30-22:00
The aim of our combat training is to be able to put on entertaining demonstrations at events around the country while still having safe, competitive bouts that are fulfilling to the performers. And it's a lot of fun!
This course is tailored to giving you a great set of basics that will be transferable to many forms of martial art, theatre combat and re-enactment. After the course finishes, we train weekly and you'll be equipped to continue in the group, fighting in larger formations and participating in battles at public events.
