Did you know the City’s first homeowners moved into their houses in October 1974? Celebrate 50 years since the founding of The Colony with TCPL’s Local History Committee! Start your morning at historic Bridges Cemetery to learn about the history of the area from 1840-1970. A photo retrospective, reception, and panel discussion will follow at the City Hall Annex covering the history of The Colony from 1970-1979 as it transformed from a housing development into a city. This event is sponsored by Friends of The Colony Public Library.
