Music fans of all ages are invited to the library for a rousing fife and drum corps performance by the Col John Chester junior performers.
This program is happening at 6pm on Thursday, July 23rd. While this program is free to attend, space is limited, and registration is required. Registration opens 1 week before the program, on Thursday, July 16th.

Who are our performers?
Col John Chester is Connecticut’s oldest junior fife & drum corps and was organized in Wethersfield in 1940.
The members, ages 7 and up, work hard year round to master their instruments and keep the “Spirit of ‘76” alive. The corps performs a variety of historic American tunes from the revolutionary war period along with other significant time period pieces.
You’ll hear tunes you recognize such as Yankee Doodle, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Road to Boston and Rally ‘Round the Flag but you might also hear a tune you’re less familiar with.
