📷 About the Photography Outing:
This is a small-group photography outing dedicated to documenting living traditions and cultural expressions during the Fiestas de Santa Eulalia.
We will photograph the Gegantes, Castellers, and other elements of Catalan popular culture, as well as the people who bring these traditions to life — their gestures, rituals, clothing, and shared customs. The focus is on respectful observation, cultural encounter, and visual storytelling.
Photographing Living Culture is an ongoing project that organizes immersive photography outings centered on:
- Local living traditions
- Cultural and religious celebrations
- Artisans, crafts, and community practices
- Historic and sacred locations
The aim is to create meaningful encounters between photographers and local culture, encouraging curiosity, presence, and a deeper understanding of a place.
Group Format:
Small group for an intimate, immersive experience that allows time to observe, connect, and photograph with intention.
Experience Level:
Open to photographers of all levels. What matters most is curiosity, respect, and a desire to explore culture through the lens. Phones are also welcome as well as non photographer who only like to observe.
