Experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Guatemala right here in St. Louis!
Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with an unforgettable afternoon celebrating Guatemalan culture at Fiesta de Cultura 2026, presented by the Global Learning Exchange Initiative (GLXi®).
Join us on Sunday, September 13, from 1–4 p.m. at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles for a vibrant celebration filled with authentic cuisine, incredible live music, dancing, community, and connection.
Enjoy authentic Guatemalan cuisine from the Que Chilero Guate-Mex Food Truck, serving traditional favorites throughout the event.
Relax with friends over drinks, explore Guatemalan culture, and experience an afternoon unlike any other in the St. Louis region.
Live Music
The afternoon's entertainment features Gipsy Social, one of St. Louis' most exciting Latin music acts. Inspired by the legendary sounds of the Gipsy Kings and Buena Vista Social Club, Gipsy Social blends passionate flamenco guitar, Afro-Cuban rhythms, Latin grooves, and world music influences into an energetic performance that will have you dancing all afternoon.
Joining Gipsy Social for a special performance is The ConSentido Project, a world music ensemble founded and led by internationally acclaimed tenor Mauricio Villanueva.
ConSentido—Spanish for "with feeling"—perfectly captures the spirit of this extraordinary group. The ensemble creates an unforgettable musical experience that celebrates cultures through rhythm and joy.
More Than a Celebration
Hosted by emcee Gabriela Ramírez Arellano, Fiesta de Cultura invites guests to experience the warmth, traditions, music, and hospitality that make Guatemalan culture so special.
More importantly, every ticket purchased helps support GLXi's mission to expand literacy and educational opportunities for children in Guatemala.
GLXi is accredited by Guatemala's Ministry of Education to certify teachers in literacy instruction for public schools throughout the country. Students taught by GLXi-certified teachers demonstrate an average 24.5% growth in reading achievement, compared to approximately 1% nationally among students whose teachers have not participated in the program.
Whether you're passionate about Latin music, love exploring different cultures, enjoy authentic international cuisine, or simply want to spend an afternoon supporting an incredible cause, Fiesta de Cultura promises an experience you'll remember long after the music ends.
