Join Tigers United for a special evening at the Greenville Zoo exploring how Clemson has transformed its connection to the Tiger into a global conservation mission.
Through science, technology, education, training, community engagement, and international partnership, Tigers United is helping move tiger conservation from research into practice. What began with catalytic university support has grown into a proven platform with work already advancing in tiger landscapes, from real-time AI wildlife monitoring and frontline conservation training to education, community stewardship, student research, and global partnerships.
The model is proven, and it has now reached a pivotal moment: the bridge year that carries this work from its founding phase into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Our featured presentation, “From Mascot to Mission: A Model for Tiger Conservation,” will trace that journey, from Clemson's Tiger pride to a global conservation program, and share what has been built, why this moment matters, and what comes next.
You will be in good company. The evening is emceed by Jane Robelot, the Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, former CBS national morning co-anchor, and proud Clemson alumna. We are honored to welcome Ambassador David Wilkins, former U.S. Ambassador to Canada, former Speaker of the South Carolina House, and Clemson alumnus and trustee, along with our founding Tigers United Ambassadors, all lending their voices to the future of wild tigers.
