Fieldwork Fundamentals - Movement Research Workshop

The Fieldwork Lab is a movement research practice for actors and performance artists. Fieldwork Fundamentals is our entry-level workshop — an introduction to the Lab's way of working, designed to help practitioners develop a relationship with the body as a responsive, available tool for performance.

Over two days, participants move between individual physical investigation and ensemble work, building toward ensemble exploration. Sessions are guided and rigorous, with space for genuine discovery.
Who this is for

Actors and performance artists at any experience level who are curious, self-directed, and ready to engage seriously with embodied practice. No physical theatre background required.

What we'll explore

• Bodily awareness and physical presence as tools for performance
• Individual and ensemble physical investigation
• Responsiveness, impulse, and physical listening
• Sharing of findings and group work

Keep in mind

This is rigorous physical work involving sustained movement, floor work, and ensemble practice. Please wear clothes you can move freely in and bring water.
