Join us for an Exciting Nature Adventure! 🐦⬛🌱We’re thrilled to collaborate with the Tasmanian Field Naturalists Club, a renowned group of passionate experts known for their immersive field trips and fascinating talks. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore Tasmania’s beautiful landscapes, gain insights from seasoned naturalists, and enjoy a day filled with learning and relaxation.
The day begins with a guided walk through the stunning surroundings of Nipaluna/Hobart, where you’ll uncover the hidden wonders of our local ecosystems. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of chances to ask questions, learn about the fascinating flora and fauna, and enjoy breathtaking views.
After the walk, we’ll gather for a relaxed barbecue, giving you the perfect opportunity to chat with experts and fellow students. Whether you’re an aspiring ecologist, biologist, or just someone who loves the outdoors, this is a rare chance to network, make connections, and share your passion for nature.
Get ready for a day of fresh air, scenic beauty, and meaningful conversations. Don’t miss this chance to unwind, learn, and be inspired by nature!
Please bring spare/dry cold weather/quick dry clothing, rain jacket, suitable footwear, warm hat/beanie, gloves and a sun hat depending on weather conditions and warnings. Please bring your own water bottles.
We will adhere to the "Leave No Trace" guidelines so please responsibly dispose of your rubbish or take it home with you.
Sunscreen and a first aid kit will be provided.
There is a 457 Metro bus from the Elizabeth St side of Franklin Square that stops at the top of the university campus and goes directly to the Mount Nelson Signal Station.
