This high-performance clinic is aimed at enhancing essential athletic capabilities specific to the sport demands of soccer and lacrosse. Join us at Franklin Park during the week of June 29th for 4 engaging sessions led by ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, ISSA Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and BYU Men's Basketball S&C Intern Landon Wahlquist. Day 1 (Monday) - Sprint mechanics and Speed conditioning
Host: Landon Wahlquist
Info: Today we will work on sprint technique and form, as well as drills designed to enhance linear sprint speed. The drills center around developing power as well as acceleration abilities. Player education on recovery techniques (last 10 minutes)

Day 2 (Tuesday) - Multi-Directional Speed, COD, and Deceleration mechanics
Info: Our focus this day is to develop agility- defined as the ability to change directions quickly and with control. This is an essential skill in athletics, where we see constant cutting and rapid changes of direction. Emphasis is also placed on deceleration drills, training the body to slow and absorb force efficiently to reduce injury risk. Player education on Sports nutrition (last 10 minutes)

Day 3 (Wednesday) - Reactive Agility
Info: Emphasis on reactivity, making split-second decisions, and rapid-response footwork. In-game "chaos" adds a factor to athleticism that must be trained for. Player education on Strength Training (last 10 minutes)

Day 4 (Thursday) - RSA Capacity and Aerobic Intervals
Info: This day focuses on Repeat Sprint Ability as well as aerobic capacity. As soccer and lacrosse are acyclic sports, we train for the high aerobic and cardiovascular demands in a sport-specific manner. Group photos at the end for those who wish to participate in them.
