Join Artist in Residence for a site-specific sound walk on the beautiful grounds of Pine Meadow Ranch. This experience makes use of specialized microphones and field recorders to encourage community members in and around PMRCAA to engage with the environment in an imaginative and expansive format. Participants can enjoy a guided walk on the property to emphasis the unique and precious symbiotic relationships that exist all around us and underneath us.
For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.
About the Instructor:
(She/Her) – Brooklyn, NY
Jessica Reisch is a new media artist, designer, and educator from New York. Emphasizing rhizomatic networked connections, her soundscapes and immersive installations draw on the use of highly sensitive microphones and microscopes in conjunction with transducer speakers and projections to engage with the surrounding environment.
