Join us in Hadden Park for an afternoon of traditional and contemporary gamelan music, featuring performances by Gamelan Bike Bike, Trike Trike, Kembang Telang, Srikandi Indonesia, and visiting artists ghOstMist.
Gamelan Bike Bike will share new music for gamelan under the direction of I Putu Swaryandana Ichi Oka, featuring kaleidoscopic compositions by Emon Subandi, Robyn Jacob, and I Made Subandi, among others. The ensemble is joined by Srikandi Indonesia, a group dedicated to showcasing the cultural heritage of dance traditions across the Indonesian archipelago.
ghOstMist, a performance duo of artist-scholar Putu Tangkas Adi Hiranmayena and dancer-anthropologist Dewa Ayu Eka Putri, will give a live performance. Their work explores cosmology, cultural legacies, and reflexive improvisation through sound and dance.
