Field Guide: Build it like a Bee, Use Mud, Stems & Fuzz with iDig2Learn

What’s the buzz? Did you know most bees don’t sting, make honey or hive homes? No hands, no problem - wild bees collect mud, leaf or plant fuzz in their mouths to create the perfect home to raise the next generation. Leaf Cutter bees use Redbud tree leaves as wallpaper, Wool Carder bees scrap fuzzy plant hairs for a cozy room, and Mason bees use mud to create walls for their baby nurseries.
Join founder of nature-centric iDig2Learn Christina Delfico, and the artists of Socrates, for a hands-on workshop to create as bees do. We will build art to better understand bees' amazing lives, needs, and how to support them. After all, wild bees pollinate many foods we love to eat. All ages welcome. No artist experience needed. No live bees will be handled at this free workshop.
