The Audubon Center at Riverlands is back with our summer family friendly class, Field Day Friday! Join Audubon at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary as we explore the Sanctuary in its summer glory for a Nature Journaling Workshop. During this 2 hour workshop an Audubon environmental educator will read What a Rock Can Reveal: Where They Come From And What They Tell Us About Our Planet, talk about the rock cycle, and then give the class all the materials and instructions to make their own minerals (crystals). Once the program is done the kids can bring their minerals home and watch them form over night!
*Tickets are limited to 6 youth per group in order to ensure that many families have the opportunity to enjoy these programs. Families can register for participating youth; attending/chaperoning adults do not need to buy a ticket.
