Our inmate-trained dogs are leaving the prison for the afternoon to meet the public!
We are seeking potential adopters who would like to have a rescue dog with some basic obedience training.
Our dogs live with men from the Marion Correctional Institution for approximately 8 weeks, while they learn skills such as leave it, place, touch, and more. They are even crate-trained! 👍
We'd also love to tell you about our new partnership with DogWalker Ranch, who've joined us for this endeavor. Each week, we visit the prison together, work with the men, and help mold our former shelter dogs into a smart, engaged new family pets for YOU!
We have five dogs in this current class and they are ready to be adopted now! After your adoption is confirmed, the dogs will still remain in the prison and will go home with their new families on graduation day (at the prison) in June. 🎓
