This event honors 20 years of daily, free musical presentations on the Blue Ridge Parkway and the significant contributions of these local musicians.

Hosted by the Blue Ridge Music Center and The Bluffs Restaurant, the festival celebrates the music and foodways of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fiddle & Fork is presented in collaboration with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival as part of the โOf the People: The Smithsonian Festival of Festivals,โ a nationwide series of programs and exchanges marking the 250th anniversary of the United States and showcasing the countryโs cultural landscape. ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ญ, located at milepost 241 on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Laurel Springs, N.C., was the first dining establishment to open on the Parkway and welcomed generations of visitors from 1949 until it closed in 2010. The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation raised funds to rehabilitate and reopen the historic restaurant in 2021. Today, The Bluffs is committed to welcoming and serving visitors traditional southern homemade cooking, promoting Southern Appalachian heritage foodways, orienting patrons to natural and cultural attractions on the Blue Ridge Parkway and in Parkway Communities, and developing community partnerships. A program of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, the Blue Ridge Music Center preserves, interprets, and presents the evolving musical traditions of the Blue Ridge Mountains, highlighting the influence of American Roots music.
