VFW Benefit Porch Jam 4!

The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a disabled veteran. I served active duty Army from 2008 to 2011. I try not to make my service the centerpiece of my personality or music career but it is extremely important to me and has helped shape my values. Recently I was recruited into the VWF here in Carrol county. Post 1115 Grover King. That post has been going through a revitalization. A new younger generation of veterans has taken over operations there and we are seeking to bring the post back into a much more vibrant status in the community. That said the next John Lael Trio Porch Jam will be a benefit for the VFW. All proceeds from that Jam will go towards the revitalization of post 1115 Grover King.
A while back I was given the advice that to be a good musician I should pick three values that I deeply believe in and live for them. This is one of them. Taking care of, and creating a community that supports the American veteran. Not just my generation but all generations of American veterans still living from Iwo Jima to Kandahar. I, we hope to see you all at the next Porch Jam.
