Fiber Art Heart Workshop

Join artist Mirjana Cesar for a relaxing slow stitching workshop where you will create a whimsical, one-of-a-kind heart ornament. This event is perfect for anyone seeking a moment of peace and a chance to truly unwind.

You will design and embellish your own unique Heart Ornament using a delightful variety of materials. We'll explore a world of colors, textures, and playful embellishments—from lush fibers and vintage lace to sparkling beads and embroidery threads—allowing you to bring your inner "pixie" vision to life.

Slow stitching is a mindful hand-sewing technique focusing on the process rather than speed. It’s a meditative art form that encourages relaxation, reduces stress, and allows you to intuitively connect with the textures and colors in front of you.

No previous experience is needed! Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or brand new to the needle, you will feel right at home. Mirjana will guide you through all the necessary steps and techniques.

Location: FAVO Art Village Studio 238

To reach the studio, turn north on Highland Avenue from Colonial Drive, and enter the parking lot (second driveway on the left). There is a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church Parking, FAVO Art Studios". When you enter the parking lot turn right and then left at the rear of the lot, continue through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. FAVO building is the L-shaped two story building. Class is upstairs at studio 238.

Mirjana's fiber art and jewelry creations had been published in numerous issues of: Belle Armoire Jewelry, Belle Armoire, Sew Somerset, and Somerset Studio Gallery Magazines.​
