Fiber art collage brooch workshop

• Textile Layering & Composition: How to combine fabric scraps, novelty yarns, frayed ribbons, and felt accents into dynamic, multi-dimensional designs.
• Mixed-Media Assemblage: Methods for seamlessly integrating non-traditional elements—such as copper accents, beads, buttons, and found objects—into soft fiber layers.
• Functional Assembly: Techniques for building a stable backer and attaching brooch hardware so your finished piece is ready to wear on a coat, bag, or scarf.

• A rich collection of upcycled clothing fabrics, specialty threads, yarns, felted accents, and beads.
• Brooch pin backings, thread, needles, and tools.

While a complete selection of materials is provided, you are encouraged to bring personal items to make your piece truly your own:

• Bits of broken jewelry, single earrings, or vintage charms
• Small fabric scraps, lace, or ribbon from meaningful projects
• Unique buttons, keys, or small found objects

Location: FAVO Art Village Studio 238

To reach the studio, turn north on Highland Avenue from Colonial Drive, and enter the parking lot (second driveway on the left). There is a sign that says "Park Lake Presbyterian Church Parking, FAVO Art Studios". When you enter the parking lot turn right and then left at the rear of the lot, continue through the driveway connecting to a second parking lot. FAVO building is the L-shaped two story building. Class is upstairs at studio 238.
