Big Book Sale Fundraiser Returns This Week with Tens of Thousands of Items

The Friends of the Guelph Public Library are ready to welcome the community to the 17th Annual Big Book Sale, a well-loved fundraiser in support of the Guelph Public Library. Once again, the community has come through with tens of thousands of donated books, puzzles, and games for all ages, all carefully sorted by dedicated volunteers and available at very affordable prices.

The sale opens Thursday, September 25, from 2:00–8:00 p.m. with a $10 admission fee. Free admission begins on Friday, September 26, from 2:00–8:00 p.m., and continues Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. On Sunday, September 28, from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., bargain hunters will enjoy reduced prices.

Like last year, the sale will take place at 440 Elmira Rd. N., thanks to our generous sponsor, BAMCO. Shoppers can expect an improved temperature-controlled environment for a more comfortable experience. A small café with a limited selection of refreshments will also be available.

To make the most of your visit, please review the parking map on the FGPL.ca website in advance. The closest spaces will be reserved for those with mobility needs. Alternative transportation is encouraged—bike parking will be available, and the site is conveniently located on Guelph Transit Route #20.
