🎉 Join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival! 🎉
This golden milestone year invites you into Sakura Monogatari – Stories Beneath the Blossoms, a special theme honoring the stories, histories, and shared cultural journeys that bloom year after year beneath Seattle’s cherry trees. Like the fleeting beauty of sakura, these stories remind us to cherish community, heritage, and connection.
As part of the Seattle Center Festal series, the festival showcases the richness and diversity of Japanese culture—past and present. From centuries-old traditions to cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations, the weekend offers meaningful cultural exploration, including conversations around race, social justice, and the experiences of Japanese people in America, Japanese Americans, and Japanophiles.
🌸 Festival Highlights Include:
Dynamic performances by local taiko drumming ensembles
Traditional and contemporary Japanese dance
Martial arts and cultural demonstrations
Authentic Japanese cuisine and sake tasting
Engaging children’s activities
The Japanese Art Exhibit, returning after its exciting recent debut
For 50 years, this beloved community celebration has brought people together through culture, education, and artistry.
In 2026, we gather once more beneath the blossoms to honor the stories that shape us—and to create new ones together.
✨ Come experience the beauty. Celebrate the legacy. Share the story. ✨
