You're Invited to Our Festive Ornament Workshops! Join us for a merry time as we celebrate the holiday season with creativity and joy!
Gather your family, friends or just come alone to unleash your inner artist alongside five talented local artists! Each workshop is packed with fun, laughter, and the chance to create your very own unique ornaments that will sparkle on your tree. Whether you want to make one ornament, one of each or anything in between, there's something for everyone!

Ornament Options and Costs:
Each ornament is individually priced.
Not a Creature Was Stirring Christmas Ornament:
Come create your own tiny polymer clay mouse asleep in a walnut shell. No experience required, all supplies included. Open to ages 8 to 98 $14.99. This drop in class will be taught by Gail Moses.
Macrame Snowflake, Christmas Tree and Pom-Poms Ornaments:
These are sure to be your new favorites. Easy and no experience necessary make; these simply elegant ornaments a perfect addition to your Christmas tree. All supplies are included. This drop in class is for ages 10 and up. $5. This class will be taught by Heather Green.
Christmas Ball Ornament:
These will be made from beautiful glass (or plastic) using ribbons, beads, trinkets and other fun things! $4 for plastic and $6 for glass. This is taught by KC Peek.
Copper Ornaments:
These will be made with metalsmith tools and techniques to create beautiful and unique copper ornaments that you can cherish throughout your life. All materials will be provided. Participant can choose from: stars hearts, angels, bells, trees and more. This class is family friendly for all ages. $14 for the first one and then $9 per ornament. This will be taught by 16th generation silversmith, Rene Venegas
Marbling Ornaments:
Marbling art is a fun and unique way to explore your creativity and create beautiful, one-of-a-kind designs. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, a marbling art class is a great way to learn new skills. A variety of ornaments will be available to choose from for marbling. This is for al ages. $4.99. This workshop will be taught by Stephanie Howerton.
Painted Ceramic Ornaments:
Come paint beautiful handmade ceramic ornaments! Choose from three different styles. Cost: Different styles available for $5, $8, and $10. This will be taught be Tarra Tippets.

Prices will vary depending on which ornaments you make, see above individual description for details.
When:
Saturday, November 16th from 12noon to 3pm.
Where:
This spectacular day of ornament classes will be held at The Local Artisan Collective, located at 2371 Kiesel Ave in down town Ogden, just a little south of the Megaplex.
How To Register:
No need to register a head of time, just stop by anytime between 12noon and 3pm. You can pay as you go.
About The Artists:
Gail Moses of NITE’n’GAIL arts. She loves teaching and she loves polymer clay!
Heather Green's Mamaw's Macrame is a throw back to your grandmother's era with a boho chic retro vibe.
KC Peek uses found objects, hand-me-downs, and antique costume jewelry inherited from her great grandmother to make unique and whimsical dioramas.
Rene Venegas of Galleon's Gold is a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World. He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner, The Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story, FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah.
Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth has always had a passion for creating things. She loves marbling, hand dyeing and creating clothes, jewelry and household items. She says “My heart delights in creating something new so I tend to explore a variety of arts. I hope that you feel that same joy while using your new purchase.” We have been featured in the Huffington Post, VEIN Magazine, Indie Ogden, Standard Examiner, Good Things Utah, Fox 13 News and a variety of blogs and more. Stephanie also teaches a wide variety of classes at The Local Artisan Collective.
Tarra Tippets of Tiptoe Art, enjoys creating and teaching pottery as well as painting.
