Festive Bauble Youth Design Competition

From the 18th October, we’re inviting local young artists to design a bespoke bauble inspired by the festive season.

‘Tis the season and isn’t it such a beautiful, inspiring time of year? With our Festive Bauble design competition, your youngster can illustrate their favourite things about the winter season. They could recreate crisp, frozen landscapes; twinkling lights that adorn their favourite streets or places; or an image of special family traditions. Once their imagination is ignited, they can draw their vision onto our design template, using any medium of their choice.

All entries are completely free, and each design will be displayed in our Hertfordshire studio and shop. The competition will close on the 30th November, and the winner and runners up will be announced the following week. The winning artist will have a design consultation with our Senior Designer, Francesca Glos, to finalise the design. Our talented goldsmith will then bring it to life by hand engraving it onto a sterling silver disc. When the final engraved bauble is ready, they can collect the winning prize. Just in time to hang up for the seasonal festivities!

This is the perfect activity to kickstart the joyous season, and to get the family exploring the area for fresh inspiration. And of course, a chance to express their artistic side through jewellery design.
