On Saturday, the 13th of September 2025, at Pirates Resort Mamaia, the XIth edition of the "BLACK SEA FISH FESTIVAL - ROMANIAN SUSTAINABLE FISH FESTIVAL" event will take place, and the 5th edition held at Pirates Resort Mamaia, a manifesto of fish consumption, of the awareness of food waste, the valorisation of the fish from the Black Sea, the Danube, but also from the rivers of Romania. Emeritus chefs from all over the country, together with their counterparts from Greece, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Turkey, Slovakia, Macedonia, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Albania will prepare selected dishes from fish and seafood to highlight the intercultural, inter-professional dialogue and culinary among those present.
The Euro-Toques Romania organisation with the support of the Euro East Alternative Cultural Association in 2015 started the Culinariada project, the only National Training Program for students in specialised state education, which supports teachers to strengthen the professional spirit that must be instilled in the new generations of future professionals of the gastronomic and tourism sector.
This year many professional challenges will take place for young people and senior chefs competing in the race for the Black Sea Grand Trophy.
Under the creative influence of the slogan "The Power of The Blue Storm", the juniors will strive to excel by cooking exclusively species of fishes that live in the Danube, the Danube Delta, the Black Sea and the rivers of Romania.
