Altrusa brought Festival of Trees (FoT) to The Grand Oshkosh in 2025 after a 25-year absence. The return was well received by the community. Due to the 2026 renovation and expansion of The Grand Oshkosh, we are excited to be able to have the beautiful historic Oshkosh Public Library host Festival of Trees under the dome. Literacy is a core value of Altrusa making the Library a perfect location for collaboration.What is Festival of Trees? FoT is a multiple week event inviting the community to visit and enjoy the historic Oshkosh Public Library (under the dome) beautifully decorated for the holiday season. In addition to festive decor, activities and entertainment will be hosted throughout the holiday season. Your support will enable us to have Santa, multiple musical performers, other entertainment, and activities. But we need you to bring these dreams to fruition.
By moving to the Library we are able to extend it for the entire holiday season and expect 5,000+ visitors. Like last year, we will offer events and entertainment to make the season bright! This year we are adding an outdoor activity: The William Waters Winter Wonderland Walk (W5)! The goal of the W5 is to highlight the historic downtown with a beautiful walk and partnerships with businesses along the way. W5 and FoT are not small projects and require help from the community with sponsorship dollars, decorating, and volunteering.
