‘Festival of Fun’ will be hosted by: The Special Education Unit in the Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, in collaboration with Sacred Sports Foundation Inc (SSF) and a host of stakeholders including the European Union and TUI Care Foundation (Helping Hands).
The event will bring together over 400 participants ages 6-26 from the Island’s special schools and centres in Soufriere, Vieux Fort, Dennery, Gros Islet, Castries, EDUCARE, ARC and SLBWA/MDVI assisted by well over 80 teachers & volunteers.
Kids are born to play... This structured event will take place in a safe and fun environment and commence from 10:00am - 14:00pm. SSF is also collaborating with Principals / PE Teachers / Trained Unemployed Youth Mentors and Volunteers, all of whom will be on hand throughout the day. Our senior mentors and those in training have the requisite skills to deliver pan-disability activity sessions.
