Festival of Cultures Film Screening
About this Event
Join us in celibrating Fesitval of Cultures 2026!
This year we have chosen to show "Bend it like Beckham".
A vibrant clash of culture and comedy unfolds as an Indian family in London struggles to raise their soccer-loving daughter traditionally. While her sister Pinky prepares for marriage, Jess dreams of playing professionally like her idol, David Beckham. Her parents oppose her ambition, but their resistance stems from protection, not control. When Jess must choose between tradition and football, her family faces their own choice—whether to let her follow her dream.
5pm on Wednesday 18th of November in the Students Association Building.
