The Festival in the Park has been celebrating artists for over 40 years with one of the largest outdoor summer arts and music festivals in the upper Midwest. Presented by the Matthews Opera House and Arts Center, this event is one of the favorite summer traditions in the Black Hills and the Matthews largest fundraiser of the year. Join us on Saturday, July 20 from 9 am-6 pm and Sunday, July 21 from 10 am–4 pm in Spearfish City Park to shop at nearly two hundred fine art, craft, and food booths!
Saturday, July 20: Vendors Open 9 am – 6 pm
Sunday, July 21: Vendors Open 10 am – 4 pm
With 18 food vendors serving an eclectic variety of cuisines, there’s something sure to please any appetite. Free live onstage entertainment from local and regional artists is available daily. We have plenty for the kiddos, too! Visit the Children’s Circus in the volleyball court. Circus Events include face painting, balloon art, and sand art!
