Festival De Mexico was born out of love for Mexican food, live music and of course the tequila. 11 festivals and over 50 000 attendees later, its safe to safe AAAAAAAARIBA! The festival has welcomed its new home for Johannesburgs biggest tequila and Mexican food festival yet again on Saturday 2nd May 2026 for our 12th installment of South Africas most favourite day out!
Montecasino’s Outdoor Event Arena will be blanketed in colorful décor to transform into the ultimate fiesta setting for Festival De Mexico. Get ready for the biggest Mexican food and tequila celebration with food from Joburgs best Mexican street food vendors, a whole lot of tequila, cocktails by the plenty, a piñata showdown, South Africas hottest chilli eating competition & entertainment in bucket loads.
A massive lineup that includes South Africas best bands and DJ’s which will be announced soon! Trust us Amigos it is HOT HOT HOT!
