Swedish quintet Jaerv and Minneapolis string duo The OK Factor join forces in Traditions, a program born from years of touring together in Sweden and the U.S. Since meeting in 2017 at the Cedar Cultural Center, the two ensembles have cultivated a partnership grounded in rhythmic vitality, melodic ornamentation, and a shared love of folk traditions. Their performances blend Swedish and American roots into something fresh and collaborative, marked by joyful interplay and inventive instrumentation. Both groups are also dedicated educators, offering community workshops and school residencies.
