The Belmont BID is thrilled to announce and welcome you to our annual Ferragosto Festival! Sunday, September 13th 12-6pm on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, rain or shine.🇮🇹
Ferragosto brings together our customers, supporters, and neighbors for a vibrant celebration of Italian culture, food, music, and community.
For over 25 years, we’ve waited until the Sunday after Labor Day to host the event as the weather is a bit cooler and people have returned from their summer vacations. In Italy, Ferragosto is celebrated on August 15th and marks the peak of the summer and is a time when the entire country slows down.
The holiday is rooted in ancient history, going back to the beginning of the Roman Empire, when in 18BC, Emperor Augustus declared that the month of August, named after himself, would be dedicated to the Feriae Augusti (Festival of Augustus).

Additional Parking is available at Fordham University 685 E Fordham Rd for $10 with a free shuttle to and from the event from 11am-7pm.
The event is free to attend and open to the public. Food, drinks, and merchandise are available for purchase.
