Fergus Quill Presents : Sam Eastmond

Fergs’ imaginary big band head honcho, Fergus Quill, is joined by a guest musician for each of the upcoming Fergus Quill Presents shows.

Sam Eastmond is a composer, arranger, trumpeter and bandleader based in London, England. He has a long creative collaboration with John Zorn and is the only artist to have created large ensemble albums of Zorn’s work across Zorn’s Masada and Bagatelles Books as well as recording his own compositions for Zorn’s Tzadik Label.
He is the leader of the Spike Orchestra, Gulgoleth, and the Composers Workshop Big Band, and plays in various combinations including TORU, Moss Freed’s Union Division, London Improvisors Orchestra, Jamie Harm’s Tetragrammatron, and Ferg’s Imaginary Big Band.
