About this Event
Femmes et Forêt: Music for Flute and Piano
Join us for Femmes et Forêt, an afternoon of music for flute and piano where nature and myth come alive. The program features French Belle-Epoque composer Mel Bonis, with her evocative Femmes de légende and Flute Sonata, alongside Sofia Gubaidulina’s Sounds of the Forest, Carl Reinecke’s final movement from the Undine Sonata, and Yuko Uebayashi’s lyrical Flute Sonata. Set against the backdrop of Faraway Farm Alpacas, this concert blends the pastoral beauty of Westchester's hills with the artistry of women composers. Enjoy a post-concert reception, and for VIP guests, take home a seasonal floral arrangement.
