Feminist workshop – RECLAIMING ANGER (EN)

People socialized as women are taught that they can never be rightfully angry.
Anger is characterized as an always already negative emotion that should be hidden, suppressed, swallowed down, internalized. This leads to many internal and inter-personal issues in the long run.
We therefore would like to propose a workshop, in which we explore alternative modes of feeling, thinking and dealing with anger. We believe that anger, if dealt with in a conscious manner, is an empowering emotion that can motivate us and lead us on the path towards social justice.
What will we cover in this 2 h workshop?
- Free discussion about our own experiences of gender and anger
- Reflection on norms around anger
- Some theoretical input: Anger, gender and race
- Body work and somatic techniques to release anger, to feel anger and to voice anger
We invite you to come earlier to enjoy some tea and coffee with us and get settled.
Please feel free to bring an object, a written piece or any symbol that represents a story that you connect to your anger. We will explore this together in the workshop.

The workshop will take place if 6 people sign up and we accept a maximum of 12 participants, to keep it safe and intimate.
