What is Female Founders Business Brunchin’?

On the morning of Friday, 18 October, Thrive and Barclays Eagle Labs (Brighton) will host a stimulating morning of talks, networking opportunities and a healthy brunch.

What’s the theme of the brunch?

Every brunch has a dedicated theme, and the theme for our upcoming brunch is ‘Women on a Mission’.

In between the two talks, you will have the chance to network with other female founders, creatives and changemakers over a healthy brunch!

Who is speaking at the brunch?

Our first speaker is Antoinette Daniel.

Antoinette is a former PE teacher, now entrepreneur who is passionate about seeing justice done in all areas of her life. She is the founder of multi award-winning London cleaning agency called Just Helpers and they are aiming to make the world a better place, one clean at a time. Strong justice Ethics are at the heart of all they do

Currently she is in the process of radically transforming the cleaning industry to enable cleaning colleagues to be paid equitably, working rights and conditions to be more rigorously monitored, laws changed to enable ethical agencies to operate more ably, and clients' homes and offices cleaned to a consistently high standard.

In her spare time she loves walking by the sea or sitting in her favourite chair watching the world go by.

Our second speaker is Jess Rad.

Jess Rad, is the Founder of The WomenHood addressing the unspoken challenges of womanhood today to create gender equity in our workplaces and home lives. Inspired by her own journey through premature menopause, late discovered neurodivergence, divorce, and as a parent carer, Jess is a dedicated social entrepreneur and speaker, offering powerful workshops, programmes and consultancy to organisations and communities.

With a background as an award-winning marketer for the BBC, 20th Century Fox, and Disney, Jess founded The WomenHood in 2019 to challenge the loneliness epidemic and destigmatise taboo challenges. Jess is an ambassador for the SEND charity Amaze, a UN Women delegate, and has been shortlisted at The National Diversity Awards 2024 as a Positive Role Model for Gender.

How much are tickets?

Everyone is welcome to attend - however you identify.

Tickets for this event are £20.

10% of our total ticket sales income will be donated to Network of International Women for Brighton & Hove (NIWBH) - an independent charity which provides a safe space for women of diverse cultures and backgrounds to meet, share experience and knowledge, and support each other.
