Feeding Champlain Valley: Full Plates, Full Hearts

On Thursday, June 4th, we will gather as a community to celebrate the recently completed renovation of Feeing Champlain Valley's site in the Old North End of Burlington. We could not have done this without your incredible support, and we are so excited to welcome you in for tours, information about our work, and light bites prepared by our incredible culinary team.

We are so excited to host our community, friends, and supporters at our newly renovated Food Access Center in Burlington’s Old North End for “Full Hearts, Full Plates”. We have a lot planned for you:

Upon arrival, you will be entered into a raffle to win Feeding Champlain Valley swag. Next, enjoy a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the renovated building. You will see where food donations are received, sorted, and packaged; where volunteers prepare and distribute food; the market area where guests shop; and the Community Resource Center.

The tours will end in the reception area, where you can enjoy cold beverages and lite bites - all made with food that can be found at our food shelves! While you snack on our elote salad, mini hot dogs in puff pastry, and freshly gleaned mixed greens with a garlic miso dressing, you will have the chance to chat with FCV and CVOEO leadership, learn more about the future of our work, and celebrate the meaningful impact made through the Fund to Feed Champlain Valley.

Don't forget to grab a cookie or an ice cream from our Good Food Truck on your way out!

Feel free to stop by anytime between 4:00-6:00pm. Staff and volunteers will be onsite to share around the direct impact you have on our work, talk about what we are seeing day-to-day, and answer any questions you may have about volunteering, donating food, or getting more involved in our fight against hunger.
