FEED THE KIDS FOOD DRIVEThe Barn Door & Keepin' it Local in the 989 have teamed up to help the kids/families who will be affected by no SNAP benefits in November.
HOW TO HELP
Drop off your non perishable food items to The Barn Door located at 3029 S. Coldwater Rd in Mt. Pleasant. No donation amount is too small. Items will be divided into Food Care Packages and delivered to area schools. The schools will then distribute the care packages to the kid/families in greatest need.

*Boxed Stuffing
*Ravioli
*Boxed Pastas
*Spaghetti & Alfredo sauce
*Peanut Butter
*Jelly
*Fruit Cups/Cans
*Chili
*Crock Pot Soup Mixes (that don't require meats)
*Granola Bars
*Apple Sause
*Canned meats
*Shelf Stable/Boxed or Powered Milk
*Cereal
*Juice
Distribution will happen on October 31st & Fridays in November. The week of Thanksgiving, distribution will happen on the Wednesday before (while the kids are still in school).
Should SNAP Benefits be reinstated, all donations will still be given to families in need and to our local food pantries.
