February Estatic Dance

(Warm-Up 3:00- 3:45) Before the music begins, we’ll offer a warm consent warm-up to help the dance floor feel safer, clearer, and more enjoyable. Connecting through movement can be powerful and rewarding—and sometimes scary. Because so much communication on the floor is nonverbal, it can be hard to know: Does this person want to interact? Do I? Is it okay to move closer or touch?

In this short training we’ll practice simple, embodied tools for “yes,” “no,” and “not now,” along with graceful ways to disengage when you’re complete—without awkwardness or hurt feelings. Participation is always optional, touch is never required, and you’re welcome to dance solo the whole night. The goal is a more spacious, respectful, and playful container where everyone can relax and follow their own dance. Led by Elena Khazanova

Opening Circle/Ecstatic Dance (3:50pm-5:30pm)

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or new to the ecstatic dance scene we welcome everyone to come celebrate life and movement. Moving in whatever way feels good to you, dancing solo or with others is equally welcome.

There is parking available in a parking lot behind the studio as well as street parking.
