Our February choice is Holly Bourne’s So Thrilled For You; a sharp, darkly comic novel about friendship, motherhood, and the secrets women carry, set against the backdrop of a single chaotic baby shower. The story unfolds during a sweltering summer day at Nicki’s countryside home, where she is eight months pregnant and hosting a shower planned by her perfectionist friend Charlotte.
