February Bandsaw Shelf Workshop

Join Community Workshop NOLA to learn basic woodworking skills while making a unique vertical wall hung shelf.

In this workshop participants will create a vertical wall hung shelf in any shape they want. The shelf can be as complex or simple as desired, maximum height is 24 inches. Participants will learn the bandsaw, table saw, router table, belt sander, and orbital sanders. This class is open to all! No woodworking experience required. Come enjoy our shop and tools, make friends, and learn a new skill.

About the Instructor

Chelsea Van Voorhis is a visual artist focused on creating fashion forward pieces out of wood with social and political commentary. She uses traditional woodworking materials and techniques to make non-traditional pieces.
