Join us for a co-ed Love & Hike Game Day at Moro Rock, one of Sequoia National Park’s most iconic and scenic hikes. This experience is designed to be intentional, supportive, and fun… not about speed, competition, or pushing limits.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be awkward, lonely, or overly commercialized. This hike offers something different… a chance to move your body, enjoy nature, laugh, connect, and reflect in a healthy, pressure-free environment. Whether you’re single, dating, or just love community, this experience is about healthy connection, joy, and purpose.

📍 HIKE DETAILS

Moro Rock – Sequoia National Park

Moro Rock is a very popular hike, but because this experience takes place on Valentine’s Day, we anticipate lighter crowds than usual… making it an ideal time for a small, intentional group experience.

• Distance: ~0.5 miles round trip

• Elevation gain: ~300 ft

• Difficulty: Short but steep stair climb

• Time up: ~30 minutes

• Time down: ~30 minutes

🌿 BEGINNER-FRIENDLY & SUPPORTIVE EXPERIENCE

If you’re wondering whether this hike is doable for you… it is.

This is not a race and no one is left behind. Because the trail is steep, we intentionally build in frequent short pauses throughout the climb. At each pause, we stop for at least 5 minutes to rest, reflect, write in our notebooks, and participate in simple guided activities.

The pace is slow, supportive, and set for the group as a whole. If this is your first hike or you’re still building confidence, you are welcome here. If you can walk stairs with breaks, you can do this hike.

💞 WHAT MAKES THIS A “LOVE & HIKE”

Because the hike itself is short, we turn it into a full experience with built-in moments for connection and fun.

Expect:

• Encouragement and reflection pauses

• Light group games using your notepad

• A meaningful moment at the top with views, photos, and affirmations

• Laughter, conversation, and community throughout

This is not a dating event… it’s a faith-forward, respectful, co-ed community experience centered on healthy connection and joy

⏰ TRAVEL & DAY SCHEDULE (FROM FRESNO)

🚗 Estimated drive time: ~2 hours

(Drive time may vary slightly due to traffic or park entry.)

• 6:30 AM – Meet-up at Starbucks 3045 E Tulare Fresno, CA

• 7:00 AM SHARP – Depart Fresno

• ~9:00 AM – Arrive at Sequoia National Park / Moro Rock area

🥾 HIKE + ACTIVITIES

• 9:15–9:30 AM – Grounding moment + icebreaker at the trailhead

• 9:30–10:30 AM – Guided climb up Moro Rock with frequent pauses, games, and reflection

• 10:30–11:00 AM – Top-of-the-rock activities, photos, and group affirmation

• 11:00–11:30 AM – Guided descent back down to the trailhead / cars, final reflections, and wrap-up

⏱ Total hike & activity time: ~1.5–2 hours

🥪 LUNCH & FELLOWSHIP

• 11:45 AM–12:45 PM – Lunch break (bring packed lunch or snacks)

• 12:45–1:45 PM – Fellowship, photos, and optional park exploring

🚗 RETURN

• ~2:00 PM – Depart Sequoia

• ~4:00 PM – Estimated return to Fresno

🚗 PARK ENTRY FEE & CARPOOL INFORMATION

Please note: Sequoia National Park charges a separate park entry fee, which is not included in the $25 hike cost.

• Most private vehicles pay around $35 per car for a 7-day park entry pass (covers everyone in the vehicle).

• Annual passes are also accepted.

Carpooling is encouraged. Several members of our group have annual park passes and are open to carpooling. If you’d like to carpool with someone who has a pass, please reach out ahead of time. Carpool spots are limited and based on availability.

If you plan to drive separately without a pass, please be prepared to pay the park entry fee at the gate.
